The Peterbilt DQ Royals suffered their first loss of the senior baseball season last night. Former Royal Brooks Saunders went the distance as Saint John outscored Fredericton 11-7.  The Royals return home tonight to face the Hub City

A former UNB  hockey standout will continue his pro career in Atlantic Canada. Hunter Tremblay has signed a deal with the American Hockey League's St-John's Icecaps- the main farm team of the Winnipeg Jets.  Former St-Thomas Tommie Brad Gallant signed a contract with the Central Hockey League's Allen Americans in Texas. --- Three members of the Fredericton/UNB Judo club earned medals at the national championships this week in Toronto. James McManus earned a gold in his division while Mark Fortner had a silver and  Aaron Broad is coming home with a bronze
