Man dies in crash; witnesses sought, Nashwaak Village
A 52-year-old man from Fredericton has died, after the vehicle he was driving went off the road into a steep ditch in Nashwaak Village.
The crash happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on Rte. 8.
Based on the investigation so far, police believe that the man’s vehicle, a 2007, red Jeep Sahara, had first rear-ended another vehicle on the road. The investigation into both incidents is continuing, with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist. Rte. 8 was closed to traffic between Killarney Rd. and Durham Bridge for about three hours.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time, pending notification of his family.
