Album Review

Two of Brinsley Schwarz's finest albums, Nervous on the Road and The New Favorites of Brinsley Schwarz, have been combined on one compact disc. Nervous on the Road is the definitive pub rock album, featuring such defining songs as "Happy Doing What We're Doing," "Play That Fast Thing One More Time," and "Home in My Hand." The New Favorites is a more polished, commercial collection that points toward Nick Lowe's solo career, but it also has such classic cuts as "(What's So Funny 'bout) Peace, Love and Understanding," "The Ugly Things," and "Down in the Dive."
