Just found this and say good for you! I've written to the Calgary Humane Society, The Mayor of Calgary, the Premier of Alberta, the Mayor of Quebec City (Calgary's Sister City), and many, many others and have received virtually the exact same response from all. "The Calgary Stampede works closely with the Calgary Humane Society and over the years have instituted many changes regarding animal safety....." I wonder how all these different levels of government etc. have the exact same answer?? I found the best way was to write the sponsors and pull my accounts with them when I could. We must continue to speak out and do whatever we can to stop this abuse and generally the best way is to hurt their bottom line. Sad but true.
