Blake Shelton is releasing his first Christmas album, and there’s one special guest who’s more special than the rest.
Blake and his mom, Dorothy Shackleford, both wrote a song, “Time for Me to Come Home,” for the album, to be called Cheers It’s Christmas.
Not only that, but Blake and his mom sing the song together as a duet. So Blake’s mom is set to get her first royalty checks! And that’s the gift that keeps giving.
Blake’s other guests include his longtime friend (and ACM Awards show co-host) Reba McEntire and Canadian crooner Michael Bublé, from whom Blake borrowed the song “Home” and made it a hit.For this album, Blake and Michael are remaking “Home” to turn it into a Christmas hit.
The album is due out Oct. 2.
