I'm off next week and I'm hoping Mother Nature will give me at least one day of sunshine. This will be my 24th annual May vacation and it is "my" time to play in the dirt. I don't mind the rain 'cause I can still get outside but to bask in some sun would be nice.

What's the secret to living to 105? Health professionals might have a tough time with this one, but a woman in Texas attributes her longevity to bacon.

According to Big Country Homepage, Pearl Cantrell is 105 years old. And bacon has been and continues to be an important part of her diet. "I love bacon, I eat it every day," stated Cantrell. When asked to explain further Cantrell said, "I don't feel as old as I am, that's all I can say."

In addition to her love of bacon, the centenarian is passionate about dancing and sewing. Her recent 105-birthday celebration lasted for three days and involved over 200 people.

This is Nick from Austria. He lived with a host family ih Fredericton for 2 years and attended LHS. He became a big fan of KHJ and country music.( Did you know they don't play country music in Austria ?) He is visiting his host family and came by for a visit today.

to put the annuals in the ground. On the advice from a lovely lady that I met while picking out my annuals today," it's too early" but putting my planters together now was ok as long as I bring them in at night.

I found a new to me petunia( I LOVE petunias), lime green, I'm sure they'll stand out. I also made sure I picked up lots of my other favorite annuals like marigolds, black eyed susan vines, daybreaks and impatience.

It really pays to look around at the different garden centers before you spend , I saved several dollars today by doing just that.
