I am about to take my 23rd annual May vacation. I'll be off May 14th, back on the 22nd.

I don't have alot planned but you know I'll be playing in the dirt if the weather's nice and of course spending some quality time with our fur babies.

I have been watching The Voice since it's first season and last night's finale was amazing !

Jermaine Paul took first place in Tuesday night's (May 8) finale of The Voice. Jermaine, part of Blake Shelton's team, bested Chris Mann, Tony Lucca and Juliet Simms to take home the prize of a recording contract AND $100,000.

The 33-year-old from New York and former Alicia Keys backup singer, is the show's second champion, following last year's winner, Javier Colon.

Just minutes before being crowned the winner, Jermaine was speechless just thinking about winning the competition. "It would mean the world to me," he said.

When he was announced as the winner, Jermaine collapsed into a hug from his coach, Blake, and wiped away tears as he thanked his wife, children, and all of the people who voted for him, ending his speech by exclaiming "nobody but Jesus!"

The 4th Annual IWK Caring for Kids Radiothon presented by Astral Atlantic will broadcast live across the Maritimes on May 10, 2012.  This year the IWK Radiothon is raising funds to help purchase new anesthesia machines for the IWK Health Centre. This complex equipment will benefit Maritime children and women who require anesthetic care in the IWK’s operating rooms, birth unit or diagnostic imaging department.
