Last night we went to a friends house to pick up some plants that she was giving away. What a haul ! We got hostas, phlox, tulip bulbs and a few other plants( I can't remember their names ).

Now the big decision, where are we going to plant all of these lovelies ? Guess we'll have time to think that over during the rain spell we're having. Come on sun ! we need to get some plantin' done.

While on vacation last week I did a ton of gardening,well it felt like a ton,and I thought I was finished. But not yet ....

Tonight I will be visiting a lady who has the most incredible gardens I've ever seen and she has offered me some of her plants. What scared me at first was that she said to bring a truck and lots of boxes. Good grief how many plants is she giving away ? Anyhow, we don't have a truck but we have plenty of boxes..I'll let you know tomorrow what we got...I'm so excited !

Hopefully this rain will ease off so I can get them planted.

It's good to be back at work !

 I got my wish for good weather( a couple of days) and managed to clean out the gardens and add new plants. Now I can sit back and watch 'em grow.

 Phew, I really should relax on my next vacation. Who knew gardening could be so much work ?

I'm off next week and I'm hoping Mother Nature will give me at least one day of sunshine. This will be my 24th annual May vacation and it is "my" time to play in the dirt. I don't mind the rain 'cause I can still get outside but to bask in some sun would be nice.
