Jaylen McCarty Fundraising Breakfast & Bake Sale

Fundraising Breakfast and Bake Sale for Jaylen McCarty at the  Knights of Columbus Hall  170 Regent Street on Sunday, July 27th from 9 am-1 pm.  Jaylen is a 10 year old girl who suffered a stroke at her school in June  and is still hospitalized Jaylen cannot speak and is paralyzed on one side. Cost of the breakfast is $7 for adults, $3 for children, and $20 for family. All proceeds will go to the family to help with expenses.

Carnival Fundraiser

Boaz Ministries is having a Carnival on Saturday, August 9th from 10:00am to 4:00pm at 778 Maclaren (Old South Devon Elementary School). There will be many carnival games, bouncy inflatables, a dunk tank, prizes, food vendors and more for the whole family to enjoy! For $10 get  A bracelet, 10 tickets, Hot dog, Drink and Choice of popcorn or cotton candy.

Alzheimer Society Memory Cafe

The Memory Cafe is a program that combines education, socialization and activity within a safe and inclusive space. It is for both those diagnosed with dementia and their loved ones to attend. Cafes are held on the last Sunday of the month from 2-4pm at St. John Anglican Church 75 Main Street, Fredericton. 
This program offers a unique approach to talking about Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in an informal setting, as well as live entertainment and complimentary refreshments. Our next cafe will be taking place at 2pm on August 31st!

'The Alzheimer Journey- Firsts Steps

The Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick  will be presenting 'The Alzheimer Journey- Firsts Steps' in Fredericton starting in October and March.  "The Alzheimer Journey - First Steps" is a free education series designed for those recently diagnosed with dementia, their family and friends.  This free program will run for five consecutive weeks, cover such topics as: What is Dementia?, Communication and Coping Strategies, Navigating the System, and Legal Matters.
