The 2nd Annual Hope for the Homeless is taking place now until December 19th.  You can help give a homeless person a Christmas they will never forget. Suggested items for personal hygeine, non-perishable snacks, blankets, mittens/gloves, hats & gift cards.  Donations can be dropped off at Pine Grove Nursing Home until December 19.  Call Lois at 363-4629 for more info.

Quilt Show

Elm City Quilters’ Guild presents “Grandmothers’ Quilts Then and Now” at the Gibson Street Memorial Church, 183 Gibson Street, Fredericton, on Friday Nov. 7, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday Nov 8, 10:00 am- 4:00 pm. We are partnering with Grandmothers Helping Grandmothers, a group who raise funds to financially assist grandmothers in Africa raise their orphaned grandchildren.

The show will feature new and antique quilts. Refreshments will be served. Local quilt store owners will be on hand to display their latest fabrics and notions.

Admission $5.00.

Recovery Art Show

Addictions and Mental Health Services Fredericton is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Recovery Art Show. This exhibit highlights substance abuse, addiction, recovery and the role of creativity in recovery. The exhibit will be on display at the Fredericton Public Library,12 Carleton St., from November 1-27, 2014, and can be viewed during library hours. The public is invited to attend the  Recovery Art Gala which will be held in the library on November 19, 2014 at 6:00 pm in celebration of the artists and National Addictions Awareness Week.

Minor Baseball and Matt Stairs

November 1 at the Fredericton Capital Exhibition Centre, author Carlena Munn and Matt Stairs will be on hand to autograph her biography of the Major League Slugger, "A Boy Named Matt, the Story of a Hometown Hero". The book signing runs 10-1pm.and books can be purchased on site. All proceeds support Fredericton Minor Baseball.

Central NB Beer Festival

On November 1st The first annual Central NB Beer Festival will be held at the Upper Miramichi Lions Club in conjunction with Picaroons. Tickets are $20 each. Festival starts at 7pm, followed by a dance with music by Di Biases. Your beer festival ticket also gives you admission to the dance.  Tickets must be reserved by Oct 24.

Buster Harvey Memorial Hockey Tournament

The 2014 Buster Harvey tournament held from Nov 6th to 9th in Fredericton. We have added a Bantam Minor division in 2014 to our existing full Peewee Schedule.  Fredericton will be hosting 25 teams along with the 4 local teams to bring you some great hockey. Weekend passes $20 (gets you into all the games and includes a tournament program), $10 day passes and $5 for a game. Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Auditions + Master Class

The RWB School will be holding auditions for all three of the RWB School professional training programs: the full-time Ballet Academic Program for students from grades 6 to 12, and RWB School's two graduate programs (Aspirant Program and the Teacher Training Program). Every student with a dream to dance or teach professionally is encouraged to attend.

Those who audition have the opportunity to win a full tuition scholarship for the four week Summer Session taking place in July 2015. The four week Summer Session serves as the second phase of the audition process for the full-time program.  Pre-registration is recommended and prospective students are encouraged to register now.  All pre-registrations will be entered to win one of four custom designed bodysuits from Elevé Dancewear. The RWB School also accepts walk up auditions the day-of and auditions by DVD are also accepted.
