Fredericton Sunday Flea Market

The Fredericton Sunday Flea market has been  a tradition in town for the past 25 plus years.  It is held every Sunday at the Capital Winter Club (curling club) at 232 Rookwood Avenue.  From 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  There is everything from crafts, antiques, collectibles, jewelry, record LP's video games, food vendors, home decor and more. To book tables, please call Tony at 472-2923.

Safety Glasses Giveaway

Due to Arthur cleanup the New Brunswick Association of Optometrists and Hilco Canada are providing non-prescription safety glasses free of charge. Glasses will be available at participating optometry offices in Fredericton and Oromocto, Woodstock & Miramichi areas. Autism Connections Walk Group

Autism Connections has started a new family walk group at the centre every Saturday at 10 am. It is an all ages walk for the whole family. We will walk from 10 am - 11am returning to the centre for refreshments and a rest. Feel free  to stay and take part in the all ages hang out that will take place at 1pm until 3pm every Saturday as well. Stanley Show & Shine

The 5th Annual Show & Shine takes place Saturday, August 2nd from 11am - 3pm at the Stanley High School. There will be Exhibitor Prizes, Silent Auction, 50/50 Draw, and BBQ. Lend a Hand Help Pack the Van

The Oromocto Galleria and the merchants of The Oromocto Plaza at 291 Restigouche Road are sponsoring a food drive for The Oromocto Food Bank. "Lend a Hand Help Pack the Van" will take place on Friday August 8th - at The Oromocto Plaza - People are asked to drop off non-perishables and help pack the van - BBQ will take place between 11 & 1 Several area businesses will also be collecting food for the next 2 weeks and dropping off on the 8th

Carnival Fundraiser

Boaz Ministries is having a Carnival on Saturday, August 9th from 10:00am to 4:00pm at 778 Maclaren (Old South Devon Elementary School). There will be many carnival games, bouncy inflatables, a dunk tank, prizes, food vendors and more for the whole family to enjoy! Alzheimer Society Memory Cafe

The Memory Cafe is a program that combines education, socialization and activity within a safe and inclusive space. It is for both those diagnosed with dementia and their loved ones to attend. Cafes are held on the last Sunday of the month from 2-4pm at St. John Anglican Church 75 Main Street, Fredericton. 
This program offers a unique approach to talking about Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in an informal setting, as well as live entertainment and complimentary refreshments. Our next cafe will be taking place at 2pm on August 31st!

'The Alzheimer Journey- Firsts Steps

The Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick  will be presenting 'The Alzheimer Journey- Firsts Steps' in Fredericton starting in October and March.  "The Alzheimer Journey - First Steps" is a free education series designed for those recently diagnosed with dementia, their family and friends.  This free program will run for five consecutive weeks, cover such topics as: What is Dementia?, Communication and Coping Strategies, Navigating the System, and Legal Matters.
