Breastfeeding Community Support Drop in 

Come join us for our breastfeeding support drop in. This will be offered every Friday morning from 10:00-1:00 at the community room at the Brookside Drive Sobeys.  

This is an opportunity for parents with babies/young children to drop in, have a snack, weigh their babies, and talk to each other and a Health Professionals about feeding babies. Resources are available on a variety of topics. For more information contact: Mary Ann Peters-Gallant, BSc, RD.

Helping Hands for the Food Bank 

St. Peter's Anglican Church is organizing a SUMMER FOOD DRIVE for the communities in the area of the Church located at 2385 Woodstock Road.

Marc Pepin public talk

Tennis champ Marc Pepin will be giving a public talk at the NB Sports Hall of Fame on Thursday, July 30th at noon. The NB Sports Hall of Fame is located at 503 Queen Street, Fredericton. For more information call 453-3747

 Marc Pepin is an Honoured Member of the NB Sports Hall of Fame. He is a tennis champion and the only player in Canada to be ranked No.1 in five consecutive decades. Oromocto Legion Golf Tournament

The Oromocto Legion will be hosting a fun golf tournament on the 31st of July 2015 @ the Gage Golf Course. The cut off to sign up is the 24th of July. You have a 4 person team if not a team will be made for you. Tee time is 1100 hours and the fee is $10 a person. If you are not a member an additional fee of $45.20 will be charged for green fees. Starlight Run for Dialogue

Starlight Run for Dialogue/Course étoilée pour le dialogue takes place Friday, August 14th, in Fredericton, NB (downtown).  Event begins with the kids 1 km run at 8:30pm and ends at around midnight.   

Running in the dark with 300 other runners with headlights and glow sticks will create a moving, living, breathing, light show! The conditions are set for a fun run! So come out and have fun doing what you love - under the spell of the night.

7th Annual Bob Murdoch Memorial Classic Car Show

7th Annual Bob Murdoch Memorial Classic Car show Fundraiser for the Oromocto Public Hospital will be held Sat, August 22, 9am – 1pm at the Jemseg Lions Club. This show is for all Antiques, Classics, Rods, Tuners & Trucks.

The Car Show entry fee of $10 includes a full breakfast. There will be goody bags for the first 75 cars registered before August 15th.

The local Farmer's Market will also be happening inside the Lions Club while the show happens in the field behind the Jemseg Lions Club.

Local talent will be providing entertainment, there will be a 50/50 draw, and tons of prizes to be given away.

All the proceeds of the show and shine will go to the Oromocto Public Hospital to purchase new equipment.
